PT Matahari Department Store Tbk ("Matahari" or "Company"; stock code: "LPPF") is expanding its business by opening a new store at Living Plaza Hertasning, Gowa, Makassar today. The store’s address is on Tun Abdul Razak, Tombolo, Somba Opu, Gowa, 92114. Taking place in a strategic area, this store is located on the axis road connecting from Gowa district to Makassar City and also adjacent to an elite housing complex as well as near the popular fast food chain restaurants.
Matahari comes with a new concept; presented in a smaller format with a higher productivity and using 100% LED lighting. Matahari Living Plaza Hertasning with the total area of 2,279 m2 is the fourth store opened this year, making a total of 142 outlet in Indonesia. This new store supports the local economy by having more than 100 local employees working at this store. The Company will open other new outlets in Bondowoso in October, Kendari and Bontang in November, and in Jakarta in December, respectively, and has visibility on a total expansion of 10 new stores during 2022. Furthermore, Matahari will add 12-15 new stores in 2023 and is already advancing the forward pipeline of store expansion opportunities and job creation. The total number of stores to be trading nationwide at the end of 2022 will be 148 growing to 160 or more by the end of 2023.
