MATAHARI and TOKOPEDIA PRESENT  MATAHARI’S OFFICIAL STORE

The modern retail network of PT Matahari Department Store Tbk ("Matahari" or "Company"; stock code: "LPPF") announced its collaboration with Indonesian technology company, Tokopedia, through the launch of its Official Store Matahari today (11/04/2022).

 

Matahari’s Official Store at Tokopedia will help Indonesians, including Tokopedia users spread across 99% of sub-districts in Indonesia, to select and purchase a wide selection of local and international products at Matahari conveniently .

 

Terry O’Connor, CEO Matahari said, “Matahari  welcomes various channels and technological touchpoints for quality fashion products for all customers in line with our vision to become an omni channel  House of Specialists. Collaboration with Tokopedia is one of our strategic efforts to encourage the advancement of the creative industry and present alternative shopping options to all customers. We hope that this collaboration will facilitate the increasing demand for fashion products and encourage the development of the national fashion industry even further.”

 

Tokopedia’s internal data showed that ahead of Ramadan 2022, its Fashion category became one of the categories with the highest transaction increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This trend also shows that people’s enthusiasm for shopping fashion needs from home is still very high.

 

Yudhiaji Kusuma, VP of Marketplace Tokopedia, said, “Tokopedia’s collaboration with Matahari is in line with our shared commitment to support local businesses, including those from the fashion industry, in getting as many digital opportunities to adapt even during the pandemic."
